# World Dreams Peace Bridge

> An international community of dreamers founded in 2001, after the 9/11 attacks, by Jean Campbell. Members in more than twenty countries share dreams daily and "honor the dream through action," turning dreams into practical projects for peace. The Peace Bridge operates under the 501(c)3 nonprofit umbrella of The iMAGE Project. Motto: "There can never be too many people dreaming of peace."

The organization's founding question, posed by Jean Campbell: "If you believe that we can dream the future; and you believe that the future is not fixed, but we're making it up as we go along; then how about joining me in dreaming up some world peace?"

## What We Do

- [DaFuMu Dreaming for Peace](https://www.worlddreamspeacebridge.org/dafumu-dreaming-for-peace/): On the 15th of each month, members worldwide set the intention to dream of world peace. "Da-Fu Mu" combines Japanese and Chinese characters meaning "a dream of great good fortune," coined by Dr. May Tung (San Francisco, formerly China) and Kotaro Miyagi (Tokyo).
- [Aid for Traumatized Children](https://www.worlddreamspeacebridge.org/what-we-do/aid-for-traumatized-children/): Begun in 2003 during the invasion of Iraq; has raised close to $100,000 for direct, person-to-person support of children affected by war - Seasons Art School in Baghdad (2004-2007), Dr. Ali Rashed's PTSD work, support for Iraqi refugee families, Fusayo Irikura's work in Amman, and a 2005 grant from Carlos Santana's Milagro Foundation.
- [Children's Peace Train](https://www.worlddreamspeacebridge.org/what-we-do/childrens-peace-train/): Born from Jeremy Seligson's 2002 PEACE TRAIN dream; children in more than a dozen countries draw train cars filled with what they would send to the world to create peace.
- [Drum Dance and Dream for Peace](https://www.worlddreamspeacebridge.org/what-we-do/drum-dance-and-dream-for-peace/): From Mary "Whitefeather" Joyce's dream; the world's largest children's drumming circle at the World Children's Festival (Washington, D.C., 2007, 2011, 2015) with the International Child Art Foundation, plus a 24-hour global drum circle and Woableza's Ceremony for the Future of the World's Children.
