"Dream Weaving"
Sandy Ginsberg
|
|
"Dream Weaving"
was a direct work following a dream of weaving which told me that
I had more surgery ahead for cancer. It shows 2 arm images
woven together - both with "danger". The weaving
effort itself was very satisfying and taught me that I had the
need for patience ahead. The day following the dream I was
told that I needed additional surgery for "unclear
margins" on the melanoma on my upper arm.

"Now I Can Relax"
Sandy Ginsberg
|
|
"Now I Can Relax" was
am image that came to me in my lack of sleep (twilight imagery)
and was ironic in its frenetic repetition and lack of tension in
broken rubber bands.

"Babies in the Big Bed"
Sandy Ginsberg
|
|
"Babies in the Big
Bed" came from following a dream forward which told of how to
care for the needs of many rather than the needs of just one.
Share the space. Care for the children and the ones in need.
The quilt is woven literally with the words of the members of the
World Dreams Peace Bridge to me, regarding a particularly
difficult dream time. It encouraged and
"comforted" me.

"Fish & Hand"
Sandy Ginsberg
|
|
"Fish & Hand"
represents a dream in which I nearly drowned but for a fish who
bit down so hard on my hand that I was impaled onto the deck of
the boat, and saved. I needed to see the possibility for
transformation rather than just the fear of that horrid mouth so I
refocused on the perspective of the fish.

Each
of the masks is a representation of me. The Clay and Blood
Mask is unfired and has exacto blades for teeth. The blood
was unplanned. Old
Woman, What We Do For Love, and Spiritual Energy
Mask... are all cast from my face and were done in various
times as self portraits.
