GLOBAL DRUMMING EVENTS MAKE A SOUND HEARD AROUND THE WORLD
JOIN US IN DRUMMING DANCING AND DREAMING FOR PEACE FOR ALL OF THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD
Because synchronizing a global event of the size and scope of Drum Dance and Dream for Peace means compensating for global time shifts, some groups will begin drumming on Sunday, June 24. Check for the drumming event closest to you, and get involved.
Or create an event of your own. Some people are drumming privately with family and friends. Some groups are open to all.
If you would like to host a Drum Dance and Dream for Peace event, send us your information at info@worlddreamspeacebridge.org or post it to the Event Discussion Board.

On June 25 I'll put out some information at work on the plight of Iraqi children - especially in relation to education (as we are an educational institution) - along with information on Drum, Dance and Dream for Peace--and ask for a donation!!
I put exclamation marks after "asking for a donation" because - in Australia we are not so used to asking for donations as in the US (largely I think because we are/were a welfare state and so that is how most of our support is/was channeled). You see even donations have a cultural edge to them!!! Of course we do sometimes ask for a donation - so I'll try

The World Drum
YOU ARE INVITED TO A VERY SPECIAL DRUMMING CIRCLE!
We are very excited and honored that The World Drum will be here atRainbow's End for Ceremony on Sunday, June 24th. (The original story of this Drum is included in this invitation.)
This will be an early morning Ceremony beginning promptly at 8AM on the 24th.
Please plan on arriving between 7:30-7:45AM so we are prepared in all ways to begin on time.
You do not need a Drum to join us, but if you have a Drum in your keeping, please bring it. Also if you have one, bring your own chair for the Circle. We will be in Ceremony together for about an hour.
If you would like to participate in the Potluck afterwards, bring food to share.
We heard the story of The World Drum quite a while ago, but never dreamed that we would be able to have the Drum here on our beautiful High Desert for Ceremony. We give thanks to Carol Petersen for her "vision & message" that World Drum needed to be in Ceremony at Rainbow's End and we give abundant thanks to Aimee who will be journeying to San Diego to pick up the Drum, bring It here and then return the Drum to San Diego for Its next journey to New York.
This Drum is truly traveling the World, being passed from Hand to Hand, Circle to Circle for Peace and the Healing of Mother Earth and All Her Children.
The list of locations and contacts for Ceremony goes on and on.....Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, Iceland, Italia, Mongolia, New Zealand, The Phillippines, Scotland, Switzerland, Sweden, and 22 States in the United States.
If your Heart leads you here, please join us!
If you need directions or additional information you may contact me.

The World Drum
A global idealistic project with focus on peace and healing of Mother Earth
started in Oslo, Norway, Saturday, October 21st, 2006.
The initiation ceremony took place in front of the Norwegian Parliament.
Because of a very late permission from The Parliament we could not inform the public about where the ceremony was to take place until the day before. About 120 people participated.
The World Drum carries the Feather of an Eagle, a little purse of leather filled with power objects and a silver medallion made as a Wolf's Paw in the back.
The ceremony focused on healing of Mother Earth and acknowledged that changes must start within each one of us. The World Drum, along with many other Drums created a forceful and energetic atmosphere. The participants contributed to start an awakening "Fire", a Fire that is intended to give warmth and force to the increasing number of people in the world who think that humanity demonstrates greed and a terrible disrespect of Mother Earth that is a threat to humankind, nature and life as we know it.
This first ceremony of The World Drum, was a initiation ceremony. The World Drum is a symbol of life and that all parts in the web of life are connected together. From the first drumbeat Mother Earth responded with cleansing rain. All participants filled The World Drum with love and force, and with a prayer that we all must co-operate to keep a living earth in balance between nature and mankind. Humanity is close to destroying the web of life, it has started to come undone and the consequences will be catastrophic.
A strongly increasing critical mass will not any longer sit still and see that our common place of living is to be destroyed and exploited of resources because money and power is decisive in all matters. We are all human beings, without regard to race, religion or political conviction, and we all live on the same planet, Mother Earth. We are all depending on Mother Earth to continue our existence.
This critical mass will no longer tolerate that our descendants will have to take over a
planet in such a condition that existence of the human race will end. It is critical now,
and we must stop. We cannot keep on seeing everything in the perspective of the ego.
Instead we must seek a deeper truth and think in terms of the ONE, as the web of life
really are.
