Dear Dreamers:

It is my great honor to gift you with an image I created this past
weekend with 67 of Kotaro's flower pictures and one river image
(Sagamihara River). Titled the "Flower Sanctuary Mandala," the piece
was an idea I've had ever since I began collecting Kotaro's flowers
in August. So, having Kotaro's permission to share the image with you
all, and without further ado, I send you Solstice Greetings...

With Gratitude & Blessings,
Jennifer*

AFTC on eBay

Dear Friend of the World Dreams Peace Bridge,

You may recall my mention a few weeks ago of a message from Dr. Ali Rashed, who talked about another doctor from Baghdad telling him that his niece had been going to a Baghdad hospital with her friends, trying to aid those wounded in almost ceaseless rounds of mortar fire. Many doctors, targeted by insurgents, have fled the city, and medical supplies are low. This is our attempt to help the brave women of Baghdad who give aid to others, under impossible circumstances. All donations made currently to the Aid for Traumatized Children Project of the World Dreams Peace Bridge will go to this cause.

For starters, Mary Whitefeather, of Boston, has donated her collection of collector Barbie dolls to the AFTC, and that is one reason for this message. The Peace Bridge webmaster, Liz Diaz, in Austin, agreed to put these twenty-five collector dolls up for auction on eBay. If you are a doll collector yourself, or know of others who are, this is an opportunity to purchase a beautiful gift and help the children of Iraq at the same time. You can view the dolls that will begin our auction by going to  eBay - Peace Bridge - AFTC

I think I will not even go into the irony of auctioning Barbie dolls to provide medicine to injured children. The point is this. Here is a way we can all reach beyond the boundaries of nations and governments and politics, and reach out to one another.

In response to the humanitarian crisis in Iraq, members of The World Dreams Peace Bridge have reached out in many ways this month. We hope you will join us. Some people have donated directly. You are welcome to do that. Here is a link to the AFTC donation page at the World Dreams web site http://worlddreamspeacebridge.org/aiddonations.htm

And some, like Mary Whitefeather and Sonia Monson, have converted goods to gifts. At the Fair Trade Festival which began the Tidewater Light in the Dark Peace Festival last weekend, a cake raffle brought in $50!  When people are in need, no gift is too small.

Think about helping out. You can buy a Barbie and send her marching to Iraq. Or you can buy some of Sonia's vitamins (see notice below). Or you can come up with a zany fundraising idea of your own.

Whatever you do, please care. And please notice that we can do something. And that, working together, we can accomplish even more.

For a peaceful world, safe for children,

For you to share with your friends :-)

Dear Friends

My parents run a nonprofit organization called Friends of the Occoquan. http://www.friendsoftheoccoquan.org/
They received hundreds of vitamins, minerals, herbs ect... from a Health Food Store that was closing down. They donated these supplements to a local organization- The World Dreams Peace Bridge- Aid for Traumatized Children . http://www.worlddreamspeacebridge.org/main.htm

So we are selling these supplements and the proceeds will be distributed as follows:
75% Aid for Traumatized Children
25% Earthdance Hampton Roads http://www.earthdance.org/

Anything that is dated 2007 and up has been marked down 50% off retail price
Dated for 2006 the prices have been marked down 75% to 90% off

I am a member of both of these organizations and can attest to their commitment to raise awareness to humanitarian causes and peace for our planet.

All prices are negotiable :-) and if delivery is a problem- I can deliver :-)

Thank you,
Sonia
